There’s almost no opportunity for usual man to meet a real shaman. Soviet authorities back in the 1920s had begun activity to combat "Siberian superstitions". Nearly all ancestral shamans of Khakassia and Tuva were exterminated and their children were ditched in labor camps. As the years passed. In the new capitalist Russia shamanism became a profitable tourist trade. Out of nowhere a lot of the ancient Siberian religion followers appeared. Actually, for prosperity in this business it’s enough to have an initial capital: a relevant national, a costume decorated with feathers, hides and copper rings, the ability to beat the drum, while spectacular dancing and howling in every way. However this “shamanism” is no more than a dramatic performance for the inexperienced traveler.
Shamanism is considered to be the oldest form of healing known to mankind. To aim his mission, the shaman must get in touch with the spirit world. Mostly often the main means of achieving this goal is precisely the sound of the tambourine and the sound of the human voice. In the words of Dr. Gina Ahterburga, author of «The imagery and healing» (Jeanne Achterburg. «Imagery and healing»): «Shamanic practice includes the ability to immerse temporarily in a special state of consciousness, as well as the ability to communicate with spirits-guardians. The purpose of these actions - helping others". People go to the shaman to heal without drugs or to learn about their future. Scientists have shown that while the religious ritual shaman brain starts to work in the same rhythm with the brain of the patient. This rhythm imposed by booming blows of heated drum and spectacular dance movements, which are seen by the person who appealed for the help of the shaman. In achieving this altered state of consciousness the shaman energetically "connects" to their audience and as a result, he becomes able to predict their life and affect their health.
If you want to relax in an atmosphere of peace, try to understand yourself, solve your immediate problems and get personal advice, the forecast for the future from the shaman – welcome! Your stay in the hospitable Siberian land will merge into a vivid kaleidoscope of new good feelings and will be remembered only as a good fairy tale!
